The rollout started less than a week after the FDA authorized the Pfizer vaccine for emergency use for Americans over 16. The rollout of the first coronavirus vaccine began on December 14 in the United States, as the first doses of the Pfizer medication was administered to health care workers and nursing home staffers. A critical care nurse from Northwell Long Island Jewish Medical Center was vaccinated at 9:23 a.m. during a livestreamed event with New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo. "You didn't flinch," Cuomo said. The University of Louisville Hospital in Kentucky will receive its first delivery of the vaccine in the am, and three doctors and two nurses will receive the vaccine. The COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to a lot of potentially dangerous misinformation.
