The Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission's notification confirms a hike of 2.14% in electricity tariff for all categories of consumers. On 27th May 2019, the Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (PSERC) issued a notification announcing tariff hike of 2.14% for all categories of consumers. The new hike will come into effect from 01.06.2019 to 31.03.2020. The old tariffs will be applicable till 31.05.2019. Keeping in mind both fixed charges and variable charges, the PSERC has decided to increase cross-subsidy levels within 20%.
