Nai Duniya's MD and Chief Editor confirms that the magazine has stopped publication for the first time since 1973 due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Shahid Siddiqui, Managing Director & Chief Editor of the Urdu Weekly Magazine, Nai Duniya tweeted that they have halted the publication of the magazine for the first time since the launch of the magazine in 1973. He started the magazine while pursuing his master's degree at the University of Delhi, and the magazine has never missed a single issue in the last 47 years. The pandemic has led to many media houses, including Nai Duniya and Outlook magazine suspend their publication. Several media houses have temporarily shut down, or others have asked employees to take salary cuts. The COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to a lot of potentially dangerous misinformation.
