Dr. Sunil Choudhary apologized for the WhatsApp conversation between his staff and said that his staff did not intend to hurt any religious group.A WhatsApp conversation surfaced on social media which showed the staff of Srichand Baradiya Rog Nidan Kendra, a private orthopedic hospital in Rajasthan, discussing not attending to Muslim patients in the hospital. After this conversation came to light, Dr. Sunil Choudhary, who runs the hospital, apologized via a post on Facebook, and said that his staff did not intend to hurt any religious group. He further said that the chat was from 2 months ago when many Tablighi Jamaat cases were coming in and the group reality was very different from what is being discussed in the chat. The police in Rajasthan have opened an inquiry and are looking into the people who were a part of this chat. The COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to a lot of potentially dangerous misinformation.
