True: Pedophiles to be sentenced for Life under the new law passed by the Australian parliament.

The Australian parliament passed the 'Crimes Legislation Amendment Act 2020,' which states life imprisonment for Pedophiles.The act was an amendment to the Crimes Legislation Amendment (Sexual Crimes Against Children and Community Protection Measures) Bill 2019. The amendment added the punishment of life sentencing(15 years)into the act for those who commit serious offenses. According to the Australian attorney-general Christian Porter, the bill would reform the full sentencing cycle of child sex abuses. The act includes minimum terms of five to seven years of imprisonment for those who have committed severe child sex offenses. The new bill includes offenses for cases where the abuser subjects a child to cruel, inhumane, or degrading treatment, or death. However, it will not be applied to people under the age of 18.
