China will continue to levy anti-dumping duties on imports of single-mode optical fibers from India for another five years.The Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOC), in a press release on August 13, 2020, stated that the government had levied an anti-dumping tariff on fiber optic products made in India, which is used for manufacturing telecommunication equipment. This measure was taken on the request of its domestic industries. The tariff on single-mode optical fiber came into effect on August 14, 2020, and will last for five years. The tariff ranges between 7.4% and 30.6% depending on the specific Indian manufacturers.
