So far, India has administered the COVID-19 vaccines to more than 36 crore individuals. Uttar Pradesh is leading the drive, followed by Maharashtra. The vaccination drive has thrived in all countries to combat the spread of COVID-19. Phase-3 vaccination drive in India has started on June 21. India's cumulative vaccination drive crossed over 30 crores on June 23 by vaccinating more than 58.34 lakh people on a single day. The provisional reports show that 41,23,073 people received the first dose on that day, and 68,903 received the second dose. Thirty-seven states or Union Territories have cumulatively received 7,02,11,075 first dose and 14,98,113 second doses, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) stated. MOHFW also reported that as of July 8 at 7 a.m., India had vaccinated 36,48,47,549 people. Among them, the first vaccine dose was given to 29,58,89,870 people, and 6,89,57,679 people received the second dose.
