Prime Minister Modi's statement confirms that the government has asked all states to work-from-home except for those working in emergency services.Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation at 8 pm on 19 March 2020. He mentioned the issues related to the coronavirus and the efforts to combat it. He said that the government has instructed states to implement work-from-home rules for all private-sector employees, except necessary services. The press release from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare website encourages the private sector organizations or employers to allow employees to work from home wherever possible.
