The rainfall has caused a landslide on the Western Express Highway near Times of India building at Kandivali during peak office hours. There was a massive landslide on a hillock with debris falling on the Western Express Highway. The Western Express Highway, shortened to WEH, is a major North-South arterial road, stretching from Dahisar to suburban Bandra in Mumbai. The landslide occurred in the early morning near Ali Yavar Jung Marg, no casualty is reported. However, it disrupted vehicular movement from the area towards South Mumbai.
