A Norwegian lawmaker has nominated Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize 2021 for his efforts toward resolving the UAE- Israel conflict.Trump helped to broker a deal between Israel and the UAE last month, which established full diplomatic ties between the two countries. It was in the backdrop of this, a member of the Norwegian Parliament, Christian Tybring-Gjedde submitted the nomination in support of Trump's role in brokering a peace deal between Israel and the United Arab Emirates. He had previously submitted a nomination for Trump in 2018 for his Singapore summit, which hosted Kim Jong-un. Gjedde was quoted as saying that he has done more than any other nominees in trying to create peace between nations indulged in conflict.
