Facebook had announced that it has taken measures and put in place methods to detect fake news, hate speech, and objectionable content.Facebook has submitted documents before the Delhi High Court that it has put in place measures like community standards, third-party fact-checkers, reporting tools, and artificial intelligence to detect and prevent the spread of inappropriate or offensive content like hate speech and fake news. It is also working to avoid harassment, threats of violence, and other content that has the potential to cause harm, on its platform. However, Facebook said that its actions are limited as they cannot remove any allegedly illegal group as it comes under the purview of the government.
