Chris Hemsworth's wife, Elsa Pataky, stepped in for the scene as Natalie Portman was not available for the reshoots.Natalie Portman told NY Daily News in December 2020 that she was unavailable for the reshoots of the final last scene in the second installment of the Thor movie series. She said that Pataky replaced her because she was busy working on another project, and Hemsworth was in Hong Kong after they had finished filming. Hemsworth also acknowledges the same during the Screen Test interview with W Magazine.
