The STEC submitted a bid of 1,126.9 crores for the construction of a civil work under the Delhi-Meerut RRTS project.The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) had invited bids for the project in November 2019, and the technical bids for this contract opened on March 16, 2020. The Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Co. Ltd (STEC) has quoted Rs.1,126.9 crore for the construction of a 5.6 km underground stretch between New Ashok Nagar and Sahibabad, part of Delhi-Meerut (Regional Rapid Transit System) RRTS corridor. As per NCRTC, five bidders submitted the bids for this stretch, and STEC had emerged to bid the lowest for this underground stretch. Other bidders included L&T with Rs.1,170 crore, SKEC-TPL-RRTS with Rs.1,346 crore, Gulermark with Rs.1,326 crore, and Afcons with Rs.1,400 crore.
