According to the data released by The Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, WB occupied the 10th position. According to Observer Research Foundation, empirical evidence suggests that Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) inflow has been concentrated in a few states in India. FDI inflows are concentrated in states such as Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Delhi. Meanwhile, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh received smaller amounts of investment. According to the data released by The Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, West Bengal occupied the 10th position out of all states in terms of total FDI inflow.
