The Bengaluru Namma Metro would resume its services in the purple line on September 7 and the green line on September 9, 2020. The operational hours of the metro services have been reduced due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Upon restarting of services, Metro would operate between 8 to 11 am and 4:30 to 7:30 pm at intervals of five minutes during peak hours and 10 minutes during non-peak hours. BMRCL (Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited) Managing director Ajay Seth clarified that only passengers with the metro cards would be allowed to travel, and no token would be sold in the metro stations.
