Western Australian Police had arrested and charged a 35-year-old man after he breached self-quarantine requirements on several occasions.The media release by Western Australia Police states that they had arrested and charged a 35-year-old man who breached the self-quarantine requirements in a Perth hotel room and used public transport to roam around the metropolitan area by putting the community at risk. ABC and Perth Now news articles brief that Jonathan David, a Perth man was the first person from Australia to be jailed for breaching the emergency COVID-19 laws after repeatedly going out of the hotel room when he was supposed to stay in quarantine for 14 days. It also said that he ignored the COVID-19 quarantine measures and was repeatedly sneaking out of a Perth hotel to visit his girlfriend.
