National Center for Environmental Information's (NCEI) report shows that Earth's magnetic north pole is moving gradually towards Russia (Siberia).According to the National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI), the scientists updated the World Magnetic Model (WMM) mid-cycle report on 2 February 2019; the WMM is a representation of the planet’s magnetic field that gives compasses dependable accuracy. According to the report, the northern magnetic pole is gradually (slowly) moving towards Russia (Siberia) a a decreasing speed, down to about 40 km per year compared to the average speed of 55 km over the past twenty years.
