In April 2019 Kamala Harris said she believed the four women who accused Biden of inappropriate touching and kissing, before Tara Reade's accusations.Former Vice President Joe Biden has been accused of sexual misconduct and inappropriate behavior by multiple women. Before Biden entered the Presidential race, reports of these allegations surfaced. In April 2019, Kamala Harris said she believed and respected these women for sharing their stories. When Kamala Harris made this statement, Biden had been accused by four women of inappropriate touching and kissing. Later on, more serious allegations of sexual assault were made by Tara Reade. By the time Tara Reade came out with her story, Kamala Harris was already out of the race and was a potential candidate for Vice President. When asked to comment, she offered a different insight. She said she could only speak to the Joe Biden she knew of, someone who had fought for women and empowerment of women and women’s equality and rights. In addition, she said that Reade has the right to tell her story and that even Joe Biden believes Reade has the right to do so.
