But, this data does not reflect the hygiene habits of people in 2020. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the demand, sales, and usage of hand wash and other sanitary products have increased exponentially worldwide. However, there is a lack of data regarding the frequency of washing hands at particular times of the day worldwide. There are still various issues in several countries where the implementation of the hygienic habit of washing hands with soap to avoid the spread of COVID-19 and the means to collect data on it due to standard lockdown and social distancing guidelines and warnings.
