Over 100,000 employees at Disney's theme parks and hotels were put on indefinite unpaid leave but Disney hasn't revealed dividend plans for 2020.The Walt Disney Company notified its employees that from 19 April 2020, it would send non-essential U.S. employees for unpaid leave across the company during coronavirus outbreak. All impacted workers will remain Disney employees through the furlough period and will receive full healthcare benefits. Disney will pay the cost of employee healthcare premiums. There are over 170,000 cast members working in Disney parks alone. Abigail Disney, the granddaughter of Walt Disney's brother, Roy Disney on her Twitter thread on 21 April 2020 has criticized the company for failing to take care of its low-paid workers. Disney started to furlough of non-essential employees across the company on April 19 but there is no credible sources or official announcements available from the company regarding giving shareholders $1.5 billion dividends for the year 2020.
