Articles by Associated Press News and The Washington Post proves the claim to be misleading.According to the exclusive article published by the Associated Press News on 26 November 2019, Larry Robbins, attorney of former United States Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch, says that President Trump’s official portrait was placed in the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv, Ukraine as soon as it arrived from Washington, DC in 2017. According to The Washington Post article dated 11 September 2017, pictures of President Trump and Vice President Pence were missing from many U.S. offices and U.S. embassies abroad. The White House said that high-quality photo printing was not completed at the time. Therefore, Yovanovitch did not refuse to have the president’s photo hanging in the embassy, but the official photos of President Trump were not ready by then.
