The first baby to have been born with antibodies is based in Singapore. Recently, two pediatricians based in Florida, Dr. Paul Gilbert, and Dr. Chad Rudnick, said that a baby had been born with Covid-antibodies after the mother had received the Moderna vaccine. The doctors said that the umbilical cord blood sample was taken immediately after birth and was sent for a SARS-CoV-2 antibody test. The test results had apparently revealed that antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 at a level of 1.31 U/mL were detected in cord blood samples. However, as Reuters and other media outlets have noted, a mother in Singapore had given birth to a baby with antibodies against the virus in March 2020. The mother said that her doctor suspected that she had transferred her COVID-19 antibodies to the baby during her pregnancy after she had contracted the virus. Doctors in China published research on six pregnant women with confirmed COVID-19 cases. It was revealed that all six infants had antibodies, and all had negative RT-PCR test results in 2020 and 2021. The baby in the U.S. was the first known infant to be born with antibodies after the mother received the vaccine, but the first baby born with antibodies was in fact in Singapore, as its mother had been infected with the virus. . The COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to a lot of potentially dangerous misinformation.
