The date mentioned in the circular issued by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation is 31 March 2020, and not 29 March.The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) tweeted a circular on 14 March 2020, which mentioned that all schools and colleges in areas of municipal corporations, municipalities, and Nagar panchayats will remain closed until 31 March 2020. Moreover, the Press Trust of India (PTI) on Twitter quoted the Minister of Public Health and Family Welfare of Maharashtra Rajesh Tope, saying that schools and colleges in rural Maharashtra will stay closed till the end of March 2020 due to the coronavirus outbreak. The claim states that schools in Mumbai will stay closed till 29th March, however according to the circular issued by the BMC and the statement issued by the Maharashtra Public Health and Family Welfare Minister states that the schools will be closed till March 31, 2020.
