After receiving written approval from the parents, physical classes are regularly held from 8 am to 2 pm for pre-primary to senior high school students. On September 10, COVID-19 restrictions were extended till September 30 by Chief Minister Amarinder Singh due to the festival season; nonetheless, the laws did not affect school functioning. Masks and social distance are strictly enforced, and all gatherings, including political ones, are limited to 300 individuals. DR KK Talwar, leader of the state's COVID-19 expert panel, said the situation was currently under control, but preparations for the third wave and the impending festival season were required. Singla had asked all teaching and non-teaching employees and department authorities to ensure appropriate cleaning of premises and classrooms and to fully implement the COVID-19 safety rules, according to the Government of India and Punjab Government directives. He instructed district education officers to ensure teaching and non-teaching employees were fully vaccinated.
