Furthermore, the International Monetary Fund(IMF) has declared that the world has entered a recession worse than in 2009. According to the UN, an immediate health response is required to suppress the transmission of the virus to end the pandemic and to tackle the many social and economic dimensions of this crisis. One of the ideas put forward in the report is that the world requires a large-scale coordinated, and comprehensive multilateral response amounting to at least 10% of global GDP to tackle the socio-economic impact of the crisis.
