A tweet from YV Subba Reddy's verified account refutes the claim. As per YV Subba Reddy's verified official Twitter account, he was appointed as the chairman of the Thirupathi Devasthanam Board. The tweet also says that he has been a Hindu since birth. Reddy also reiterated the same to TV9 Telugu in an interview published on June 6. In the interview, Reddy can be seen showing the camera that he even wears a necklace with Sri Venkateshwara on the pendant, as "proof" of his religion.
