The video shows a rally in the Indian state of Bihar where Modi addressed an election rally on May 21. It is not from Congress leader Gandhi's rally.
What is the claim?
A short video clip showing a huge crowd is going viral on social media with the claim that it shows people attending Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's rally. Users even claimed that the huge turnout must have made Gandhi's political rival and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi realize the extent of the former's popularity.
Some social media users sharing the clip wrote, "Seeing this crowd, Modi Ji must have realized who Rahul is (translated from Hindi)?" The archived versions of such posts can be viewed here, here, and here. The claim has surfaced amid the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, which will conclude on June 4, when the result will be announced.

However, the video shows a crowd at an election rally organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for PM Narendra Modi to be able to address a large number of voters. It doesn't show visuals from Rahul Gandhi's rally.
How did we find the truth?
After running a screenshot from the clip through a reverse image search, we found the same video uploaded on PM Narendra Modi's X account (archived here) on May 21. The caption of this post, originally written in Hindi, translated to, "The huge crowd in Maharajganj is telling me that BJP-NDA in Bihar is getting unprecedented blessings from my family members here!" ( Maharajganj is a district in the eastern Indian state of Bihar.)
The same video was also posted on Modi's YouTube (archived here) channel on May 21 with the caption, "Lakhs of people gather to hear PM Modi in Maharajganj, Bihar."
News agency Press Trust of India (PTI) also shared the video on X (archived here) on May 21. It said, "A large crowd has gathered to attend PM Modi's public rally in Maharajganj, #Bihar."
Modi in Maharajganj, Bihar
On May 21, Modi held a public meeting in Maharajganj, where he once again slammed the INDIA bloc, an alliance of 26 opposition political parties including Congress, for allegedly promoting politicians from a few families, among other things. He also assured the people of Bihar that his party, the BJP (which is part of the NDA alliance), would work harder to promote the prosperity of the people of the state and the country.
The verdict
The video shows a crowd gathered to attend a rally in Maharajganj, Bihar, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed voters. It doesn't show people at a Rahul Gandhi rally, and therefore, we have marked the claim as false.
