The video is from a separate incident from September 2019 attributed to that of the incident of coronavirus spread. A video circulating on social media has gone viral claiming that a Muslim man was spitting on bread slices to spread coronavirus. On checking the video shows that it is from an incident in September 2019 where a man is seen pulling out bread packets from crates stacked in a delivery truck, opening a packet pulling out few slices and sealing it back. The man repeats the same action with other packets throughout the video. The clip does not show the man spitting while he sorted the bread packets. The company called Gardenia whose employee in question also issued a clarification about the whole incident on its Facebook page. Thus we can say it is an old video which has been used to mislead the public. The COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to a lot of potentially dangerous misinformation.
