A Craigslist ad seeking minority actors for President Trump rally's in Tulsa went viral on social media. The Trump campaign clarified it was fake. In June 2020, an Instagram post went viral on social media showing a screenshot of an alleged Craigslist ad that was titled "Actors Needed June 20 (Tusla)." The ad then goes on to ask those interested in to "Send headshot/resume for early consideration." The post surfaced in the wake of President Trump announcing his campaign rally, despite warnings from health officials against holding large gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic. According to a fact check by USA Today, shortly after the advertisement was posted, it was taken down by Craigslist and a link to the original advertisement now reads, "This posting has been flagged for removal." There is no evidence to support that the Craigslist ad ever existed, USA Today said. The same day, Tim Murtaugh tweeted that the advertisement was fake and that it wasn't a part of the campaign. On June 16, Tulsa County posted on Facebook saying, "This post recently appeared on Craigslist noting that participants would apply toward Community Service hours. That is not true. Participating will NOT get applied to your Community Service Hours."
