COVID-19 has been isolated several times and all claims stating otherwise are unfounded.Since the start of the vaccine rollout, claims that COVID-19 cannot be isolated have been rife on social media. Isolation refers to a pure sample taken from the virus that can be studied and tested. This is untrue, as there are several reports of the vaccine being isolated. In a post on Facebook featuring a video from digitalwarriors.uk, the speaker says that Spanish authorities failed to provide an example of an isolated sample of COVID-19 to an independent group. The speaker continues to say that this is evidence of Spanish Health Authorities acknowledging that COVID-19 does not exist. In a fact check by Reuters, several examples of COVID-19 being isolated are listed. COVID-19 vaccines were developed to protect people from serious cases of the virus, and research and development of COVID-19 vaccines take place following its isolation. The person speaking in the video is David Mahoney. In a Logiclally article from July 2020, it was revealed that Mahoney worked for Digital Warrior Productions. One of the Twitter accounts associated with this company was found to have links to the conspiracy group QAnon. This account has been banned for violating Twitter's protocols. Furthermore, David Mahoney is one of the hosts in the videos published on digitalwarriors.uk. This website has a lot of videos featuring Mahoney containing unfounded information related to COVID-19 and COVID-19 vaccines. There is no evidence of Spanish Health authorities acknowledging that COVID-19 does not exist. The COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to a lot of potentially dangerous misinformation.
