The State Minister clarified that there will be no imposition of lockdown in Karnataka. The new cases of coronavirus in Karnataka have been increasing at a rapid rate. Amid misinformation and fake news during the coronavirus pandemic, a fake message is circulated on social media claiming that the Karnataka government would impose a lockdown from September 25. The minister for Medical education K.Sudhakar, while speaking to reporters, denied all such rumors and said that there is no such proposal in front of the government to reimpose the lockdown. He insisted that it was not binding on any of the states to impose restrictions as told by the Prime Minister in the recent meeting to assess the Covid-19 situation. He further said that there would be no seal down as well in the state. The COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to a lot of potentially dangerous misinformation.
