An article titled 'Post No Confidence Motion. The road ahead' was inaccurately attributed to Mark Tully, former Bureau Chief of BBC, New Delhi. An article went viral on social media in 2018. The article titled 'Post No Confidence Motion. The road ahead' which criticized the Gandhi family was widely attributed to Mark Tully, Former Bureau Chief of BBC. However, in an interview with The Quint, Mark says that he did not write the article and action should be taken against people involved in spreading this fake news. The Quint also reported that the article was actually written by Sanjay Mehra on July 21, 2018 and in the comment section, Sanjay Mehra has written that he is the author of the article and not Mark Tully.
