Joe Biden's official campaign page and multiple records of his early life indicate he was born on November 20, 1942, in Scranton, Pennsylvania. On August 20, 2020, President Donald Trump traveled to Old Forge, Pennsylvania, a small town situated approximately six miles away from the Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s childhood hometown Scranton. President Trump held a rally there hours before Biden was slated to accept his party’s nomination and deliver his formal address. During the rally, Trump remarked that Biden wasn’t born in Scranton and that he had abandoned the town as he had lived there for only a short period. Besides Biden’s official campaign page, numerous records of his early life corroborate that he was born on November 20, 1942, in Scranton, Pennsylvania. His father, Joe Sr., was once a sales manager at a car dealership in Scranton, but quit and the family eventually moved to Claymont, Delaware, when Biden was ten years old.
