There is no official confirmation on the postponement of the JEE and NEET exams for the academic year of 2020. Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) are the two competitive entrance tests conducted for technical courses and medical courses, respectively. Earlier, JEE Main 2020 exams were rescheduled from July 18 to July 23, while the NEET exam rescheduled for July 26. After the cancelation of examinations of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE), for 10 and 12 standards, students and parents are demanding the postponement of the JEE and NEET examinations. The demand is due to rising concerns about the increasing number of coronavirus cases in the country that pose health risks for conducting exams. However, there is no official announcement made by the National Testing Agency (NAT) or any other concerned authorities regarding the postponement of JEE and NEET exams for 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to a lot of potentially dangerous misinformation.
