There is no evidence that cow dung or cow urine can cure COVID-19.On March 2, 2020, ANI News tweeted that Suman Haripriya, a Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) member from Assam, claimed that cow urine and dung could treat COVID-19. Several media outlets showed videos of people in India bathing in cow dung as a means to cure COVID-19. According to Reuters, some people in Gujarat have been visiting cow shelters to cover their bodies in cow dung and urine in the hopes that it would boost their immunity against or help them recover from COVID-19. However, there is no evidence that cow dung can help cure COVID-19. While there is currently no known association between coronavirus and bovine species, the World Health Organization (WHO) has actually issued a warning stating that the coronavirus, like other viruses, could easily spread through animal waste. What's more, pathogens like E-Coli in cow dung are quite common. The best way to protect oneself against COVID19 is to wash hands frequently and maintain other social distancing protocols. WHO states that at least thirteen different COVID-19 vaccines are being administered worldwide. Vaccination campaigns have started in 206 countries. The Pfizer/BioNtech vaccine, Covishield, AstraZeneca, Janssen, Moderna, and Sinopharm are listed for emergency use. The COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to a lot of potentially dangerous misinformation.
