The statement released by the P.D.Hinduja Hospital and Medical Research Center and the research conducted by Boom Live refutes the claim.P.D.Hinduja Hospital and Medical Research Center released a statement on 13 March 2020 that one of their patients admitted in the hospital tested positive for COVID-19 and the hospital immediately informed concerned government authorities (MCGM) and followed all guidelines laid out by the government for positive COVID-19 cases. According to the government guidelines for the treatment of all Coronavirus cases in the city of Mumbai, any patient who tests positive should immediately be shifted to Kasturba Hospital and all the medical and non-medical staff who came in direct or indirect contact with the patient should be screened and quarantined. After Hinduja Hospital followed all the guidelines and screened their staff, they where all tested negative for the coronavirus. The hospital administration also advised patients and patrons not to blindly believe any news circulating on social media. The COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to a lot of potentially dangerous misinformation.
