A clarification given by the Telangana Department of Information and Public Relations through its official Facebook account refutes the claim. A video is going viral on social media with the caption "a temple in Andhra Pradesh has been used as a quarantine centre for Muslims who are roaming freely with chappal inside the temple." A fact check done by the Government of Telangana confirms that the building shown in the video is not Kanipakam temple of Andhra Pradesh. In fact, it is a pilgrim lodge (‘Sri Ganesh Sadan’) in Kanipakam that is being used as a quarantine centre by the Andhra Pradesh government.
