The video was of a mock drill conducted in Ghaziabad by the Uttar Pradesh police. The 90-second-long video was circulating in social media which shows that a man walking on a deserted street while coughing hysterically. At one point, a few policemen approached him from two directions. While one of the cops puts a riot shield in front of the man, another fixes a mask across his face. He is then carried away in an ambulance. All the while, people could be seen recording the incident on mobile phones. The video was captioned as a suspected case of coronavirus was detained by the UP police in Bareilly's CB Ganj. The YouTube video uploaded by Times Now confirms that the video circulating on social media was of a mock drill conducted by the Ghaziabad police for preparedness against Coronavirus, and not a COVID-19 infected man being tackled by the Bareilly police. Similarly, the Watsup Asia website also confirmed that the video that is claimed to be from Bareilly was actually a mock drill conducted in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh on 24 March 2020.
