A video of Sichuan Armed Police attempting to protect the girl from a moving bicycle has been falsely shared as a CNN News story.A video clip on Reddit shows what appears to be a small girl being kidnapped by one of the marching military officials. On October 7, 2021, social media comments started claiming that an Uyghur girl was kidnaped by Chinese authorities and was taken to a concentration camp in Xinjiang. It also claimed in the post that it was a CNN exclusive report because a CNN logo can be seen in the video. However, the video was originally shared on October 5, 2021, on the official Douyin account of the Sichuan Armed Police, which clearly shows the armed police attempting to protect the girl from a bicycle. It may be a promotional video due to its additional background music. The location of the video relates to the Suining police station, which is approximately east of Chengdu in Sichuan province. On Google Maps, the location of the police station is on Zhengfu West Street. The Sichuan Armed Police have not made any statements regarding it. The video was cropped into a square format for the purpose of sharing it on social media, this covered the initial intent of the officers protecting the girl from a bicycle. The CNN logo is added to the video. The video was taken in Suining, Sichuan, not in Xinjiang.
