The audio of clapping and cheering after Harris' chant was lowered in the clip shared on social media.
Context
An altered video (archived here) on X (formerly Twitter) has surfaced of Vice President Kamala Harris chanting, "Let's get out to vote," with a seemingly muted response from a crowd of people.
Her chant ends at the 10-second mark of the 14-second video, where she can be heard saying, "Let's Win." Only soft applause and sparse claps are heard in the clip shared online afterward, and loud cricket noises are added to the audio.
One individual said in the comments, "Never seen a crowd so quiet before … looks like they were paid to stand there, not paid to make any noise."
Another said, "No one.. and I repeat.. No one likes her."
The video has been viewed more than one million times on X.
In fact
The original clip is taken from Harris' speech at a rally held at the Philly Art Museum in Scranton, Pennsylvania, on November 4, published by the non-profit American network, C-SPAN (timestamp 6:10).
The edited version suppressed the crowd's audio, lowering the sound of cheering and clapping after her chant at timestamp 6:20.
The verdict
The original clip shows Harris' call to vote, with the crowd cheering and applauding. The edited clip altered the audio to lower the sound of clapping and cheering after Harris' chant. Therefore, we have marked this claim as misleading.
