The original photograph, taken on June 13, 2023, shows activist Laura Loomer wearing a T-shirt that says, "Donald Trump did nothing wrong."

Context 


An altered image has surfaced on social media depicting pro-Trump activist Laura Loomer wearing a T-shirt with the words "Hitler did nothing wrong" on it.


In September, Reuters reported that Loomer traveled with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on the campaign trail. The agency reported on September 14 that he later distanced himself from her while also welcoming her support


The altered image of Loomer surfaced on X (archived here) and Facebook (archived here.) One iteration on X (archived here) garnered more than 20,000 views.

In fact 

The original photograph, uploaded by the agency Sipa USA, shows Loomer wearing a T-shirt that says, "Donald Trump did nothing wrong." 

The photograph's description says it was taken during a rally outside the federal courthouse in Miami, where Trump was arraigned on June 13, 2023. According to Reuters, Trump pleaded not guilty to charges that he kept national security documents after leaving office. The case was later dismissed.

The unedited photograph was also published in a May 3 Washington Post article titled, "For Laura Loomer, a Trump comeback is everything."
